For Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby users

Stop renaming Blu-rays by hand.

MediaMongo reads your discs, figures out which episode is on each title using duration analysis and subtitle OCR, then rips and encodes to H.265. One click per episode.

Built around one problem:
Blu-ray discs have no reliable metadata.

Every disc is a bag of anonymous titles. MediaMongo uses multiple signals in sequence to figure out what each one actually is — without you touching a thing.

01

Streaming disc scan

MakeMKV reads the disc structure and pulls every title's duration, file size, and MPLS playlist number. MediaMongo starts generating thumbnails for each title as it's discovered, not after the scan finishes.

02

The Certainty Engine™

Scores each title 0–100% using a stack of signals: disc order vs. TMDB episode index, runtime matching within 2 minutes, MPLS playlist number, OpenSubtitles metadata, and subtitle OCR. Locks at the first signal that hits 95%+.

03

Subtitle OCR transcription

When other signals aren't definitive, MediaMongo uses Tesseract to read the first 15 minutes of on-disc PGS subtitles and matches the transcript against downloaded reference scripts using a sliding window. 3+ consecutive line matches = 100% lock.

04

One-click pipeline

Confirm the match. MediaMongo rips the title with MakeMKV, moves it to Show/Season 01/S01E02 - Episode Name.mp4, and transcodes it to H.265 via Intel Quick Sync — stereo AAC + 5.1 surround.

05

TMDB + OpenSubtitles

Episode metadata, runtimes, and overviews come from TMDB. Reference subtitle scripts are pulled from OpenSubtitles and cached locally per season so you're not re-downloading on every disc.

06

Headless CLI

The same engine ships as a standalone Rust binary. Point it at a disc or a folder of ripped MKVs and it will match, rename, and encode without opening a window. Pipe it into your own scripts.
